We are looking for a full time salaried employee to help us at JenniferMaker as our Marketing Director!

This position is accountable for marketing results, strategy, and content; email subscribers; brand messaging and execution; product promotion and launches; as well as leadership and management of the marketing branch of the JenniferMaker team.

You will be an expert at creating successful digital marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, success driven, a realistic problem solver, and an open communicator who is experienced with leading and/or managing all aspects of marketing, as well as familiar with both crafting and the JenniferMaker brand.

The person who is right for this position is ambitious and goal-focused, can pivot quickly and easily, and is a forward-thinking Maker.

This position involves a combination of organization, creativity, attention to detail, and follow-through, and it has high expectations for meeting deadlines.

Position Details

Status: Salaried employee (not a contractor position)

Position Type: Full-time, salaried. Must be available and willing to work weekends and some non-traditional hours as needed.

Pay: $98,000 - $137,000 annually

Special Note: As a JenniferMaker employee, you will not be able to engage in any outside activity that could be construed as a conflict of interest, such as running or working on your own or someone else's blog or crafting business.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction to and oversees the daily operations of the marketing team.
  • Supervises staff, including scheduling and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.
  • Works with team to form business plans to accomplish objectives.
  • Communicates the sales-oriented marketing strategy to team for execution.
  • Analyzes marketing metrics, prepares reports, and shares insights with the COO and/or CEO.
  • Reviews online statistics, changes to the budget and marketplace, and identifies best practices to optimize online marketing performance.
  • Oversees and is responsible for all marketing elements, from the initial conception to final product.
  • Meets deadlines on time and within budget while managing multiple projects.
  • Drives multiple projects through to delivery with the ability to change course as expectations and requirements change.
  • Collaborates with team to coordinate successful product promotions and launches.
  • Maintains high standards of quality and makes sure only the best work is released.
  • Understands that copyrights and ownership for designs created for the JenniferMaker brand will belong to the brand.
  • Understands and uses the JenniferMaker products and projects so you can answer questions and support our crafters.
  • Priorizes attracting, nurturing, and connecting with our target demographic first before seeking to attract new demographics.
  • Effectively communicates with the team and meets with us weekly on Zoom video chats.
  • Has the best interest of the JenniferMaker brand in mind.
  • Helps us look good to our readers and customers.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Additional duties as required by management. 

Things You've Done in the Past

  • Minimum of five years experience in direct marketing, brand, product marketing, and/or consulting experience. This experience must have included taking a product from concept to launch. At least three of these years must have been in a managerial position.  
  • Experience creating and managing high ROAS ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google.
  • Experience managing a marketing budget.
  • Experience developing marketing initiatives to accelerate business growth.
  • Hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, SEO and content development.
  • Experience with content deployment on Facebook (pages, groups, and reels), Instagram (posts, reels, and stories), and TikTok.
  • Experience with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Forms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of crafting.
  • Experience working with a virtual team.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have successfully completed college level marketing or communication classes.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have experience in a fast-paced small business or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have knowledge of or familiarity with EOS and are willing to follow it.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have project management skills and experience.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have a passion for crafting!
