We are looking for a full time salaried employee to help us at JenniferMaker as our Operations Director/Integrator!

This position is accountable for P&L, forecasting, and budgeting; harmonious integration and communication; processes, systems, and special projects; creating and managing the master schedule; as well as leadership and management of the JenniferMaker leadership team.

You will be an expert at developing and executing business plans, and achieving or exceeding P&L objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, success driven, a realistic problem solver, and an open communicator who is experienced with leading and/or managing all aspects of a business, as well as familiar with the JenniferMaker brand and the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

The person who is right for this position is ambitious and goal-focused, can pivot quickly and easily, and is a forward-thinking Maker.

This position involves a combination of organization, creativity, attention to detail, communication, and follow-through, and it has high expectations for meeting deadlines.

Position Details

Status: Salaried employee (not a contractor position)

Position Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000 - $120,000 annually

Location:  This position is eligible for remote work from anywhere within the United States.

Availability: This position requires working within our general operating hours of 8:00am-8:00pm in the Eastern Time Zone; flexibility and ability to pivot is a must, including weekends, holidays, and some non-traditional hours as needed to accommodate our leisure-based audience.

High Volume Work Periods: Our busiest times of the year are Thanksgiving weekend (the Friday after Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday), December 1 through December 20, and the week after Christmas (December 26 through December 31). During these times, any time off requests will be at the discretion of the CEO, and work schedules and regular days off may be adjusted to accommodate operational needs.

Special Note: As a JenniferMaker employee, you will not be able to engage in any outside activity that could be construed as a conflict of interest, such as running or working on your own or someone else's blog or crafting business.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively collaborates with the Visionary/CEO and stays on the same page. Maintains a high level of mutual respect with the Visionary/CEO. Realizes the unique contributions and ideas that the Visionary/CEO has, and possesses an ability to filter and translate those ideas into functional plans for the company.
  • Demonstrates a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity.
  • Faithfully executes the business plan, achieving or exceeding planned P&L objectives.
  • Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track company performance.
  • Leads, manages, and holds the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
  • Leads weekly L10 meetings and drives the EOS initiative across the organization.
  • Collaborates with departments to identify areas for process improvement, streamlining operations, and enhancing productivity.
  • Recommends risk management strategies, fiscal controls, policies, and operational improvements to ensure the attainment of company V/TO objectives.
  • Integrates all major operating functions of the business. Ensures everyone is rowing together in the same direction. Models the way, always working toward the greater good of the business, including being transparent and taking ownership.
  • Resolves issues effectively—seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out the problems, and solving the problems in a practical and healthy manner. Ensures the leadership team is healthy, functional, and cohesive.
  • Ensures that everyone is truly following, and adhering to, the company’s core processes and operating system with consistency. Demonstrates effective project management skills.
  • Confirms that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization. Inherently ensures that everyone is in the know. Verifies that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the organization. Encourages knowledge sharing.
  • Meets deadlines on time and within budget while managing multiple projects.
  • Drives multiple projects through to delivery with the ability to change course as expectations and requirements change.
  • Oversees and coordinates successful product promotions and launches.
  • Maintains high standards of quality and ensures only the best product is released.
  • Understands that copyrights and ownership for designs created for the JenniferMaker brand will belong to the brand.
  • Understands and uses the JenniferMaker products and projects so you can answer questions and support our team members and community.
  • Effectively communicates and interacts with all team members and meets with us weekly via Zoom.
  • Has the best interest of the JenniferMaker brand in mind.
  • Helps us look good to our readers and community.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Additional duties as required. 

Things You've Done in the Past

  • Minimum of four years experience in an Integrator/Operations Director or similar role.  
  • Experience in a fast-paced small business or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Displayed experience contributing to company growth and increasing revenue.
  • Experience working with a virtual team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of crafting.

Preference may be given to candidates who have:

  • experience as an EOS Integrator;
  • a four-year Business degree;
  • experience with employee development, Human Resources, and financial responsibilities;
  • proven experience driving culture improvement; and/or
  • have a passion for crafting!
