Are you a passionate crafter who thrives in a fast-paced remote environment, enjoys improving processes, and integrating the functions of a small business team? Are you an effective communicator ready to partner with our Visionary to faithfully execute our business plan, achieve P&L objectives, and champion our Core Values?
I might just have the perfect role for you!
We are looking for a full time salaried employee to help us at JenniferMaker as our Operations Director/Integrator!
This position is accountable for P&L, forecasting, and budgeting; harmonious integration and communication; processes, systems, and special projects; creating and managing the master schedule; as well as leadership and management of the JenniferMaker leadership team.
You will be an expert at developing and executing business plans, and achieving or exceeding P&L objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, success driven, a realistic problem solver, and an open communicator who is experienced with leading and/or managing all aspects of a business, as well as familiar with the JenniferMaker brand and the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
The person who is right for this position is ambitious and goal-focused, can pivot quickly and easily, and is a forward-thinking Maker.
This position involves a combination of organization, creativity, attention to detail, communication, and follow-through, and it has high expectations for meeting deadlines.
Status: Salaried employee (not a contractor position)
Position Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
Location: This position is eligible for remote work from anywhere within the United States.
Availability: This position requires working within our general operating hours of 8:00am-8:00pm in the Eastern Time Zone; flexibility and ability to pivot is a must, including weekends, holidays, and some non-traditional hours as needed to accommodate our leisure-based audience.
High Volume Work Periods: Our busiest times of the year are Thanksgiving weekend (the Friday after Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday), December 1 through December 20, and the week after Christmas (December 26 through December 31). During these times, any time off requests will be at the discretion of the CEO, and work schedules and regular days off may be adjusted to accommodate operational needs.
Special Note: As a JenniferMaker employee, you will not be able to engage in any outside activity that could be construed as a conflict of interest, such as running or working on your own or someone else's blog or crafting business.
Preference may be given to candidates who have:
Slack
Google Workspace
Note: I'd just like familiarity, not expertise, with how to generally use these tools. If you don't have it but are willing to learn, great!
Already has a lot going on and doesn't have the time and focus to do a quality job
Isn't interested in providing excellence, growing, and learning
Wants to be front and center, rather than working in the background
Is unwilling to go the extra step to make our brand look good to our readers and community, and to reflect our Core Values
Needs immediate supervision, firm structure, and frequent feedback
Will take community problems or complaints personally
Has unreliable Internet or computer access (you must have your own Mac or Windows desktop or laptop for this position -- ChromeBooks and tablets will not get the job done)
Wants to learn how to blog or run a business from Jennifer. As an employee, you will not be able to have your own blog or craft-related business, as that would be a conflict of interest and split your focus. This position requires 100% focus on growing the JenniferMaker brand and community.
